#CookingwithKids : Chayote Salad

We start a new section on my blog – #CookingwithKids.  These are recipes we exclusively cooked at home, with the chefs being either or both of the kids.  We plan to cook once weekly, lets see how this goes.

Chayote or Chow Chow is one of the easy to digest vegetables, which can be eaten raw as well. This recipe takes 10 minutes, and has a super crunch and tanginess to it.

Ingredients

Chayote – 1 medium

Green Apple  – 1

Honey – 1 tbsp

Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp

Salt & Pepper – To taste

Olive Oil – 1 tbsp

Recipe

  1. Grate Chayote and Green Apple finely
  2. Marinate them with honey and lime juice
  3. Toss gently with olive oil. Add salt and pepper just before serving.

Verdict – 5 /5 , easy to make and extremely healthy.
