Recipe 14 : Rava Laddoo

Easy to make, Yummy to eat 🙂 After 3 weeks of difference between idea and implementation, I finally got it done today.

Total time take : 15 minutes

Ingredients

Suji : 1 cup

Sugar : 1 cup

Cardamom : 8-10

Cashewnuts :10, break down by hand into small pieces

Milk: Enough to make balls

Ghee: 2- 3 Tbsp

Procedure:

Grind sugar and cardamom into fine powder.

Add 1 tsp ghee and fry the cashews until golden brown.

Add some more ghee and keep frying suji until it changes its color from white.

Once suji is a bit warm, add the sugar powder. Keep adding milk and see if it is of the laddoo consistency.

Store in an air tight container. The above measurements will make 9 laddoos.

Notes:  Don’t overestimate the amount of milk needed. Just add 2 tbsp and keep mixing. I added a bit more and the shape of the laddoo got ruined.
