I always want ways to incorporate millets into our home. Usually not successful, this recipe utilized the 1 kg of jowar powder we had at home. The taste is awesome and you can never tell that these are made from jowar.
I picked this up from Eenadu paper. Here goes the recipe:
Jowar powder / Jonna pindi : 4 cups
Ghee – 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
sesame seeds – 1 tsp
Green chilli paste – 2 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste – 1/4 tsp
Oma – 1/4 tsp
Take all the ingredients and mix well. Using warm water, knead the ingredients to hard dough. Use Jantikala gottam to get these tasty jantikalu.
