Recipe 5 : Keera Pachadi

Image

This is one of the simplest chutneys. I love cucumber. Early morning, when you want to add one more item to your menu but dont want to spend more time in kitchen, this one is a must.

Total time taken: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

Medium size cucumber : 2

Groundnut : 2 tsp

Jeera : 1 tbsp

Green chilli : 5

Tamarind : small lemon sized

For tempering:

Asafoetida, curry leaves, cumin and mustard

Process

Fry the groudnuts until the rawness is gone, followed by jeera.

Then add some oil and fry the green chilli.

Put all the ingredients in the blender. Grind until smoother texture, adding salt and turmeric.

Do the tempering and serve. The taste is good, and it will go well with idly/ dosa as well.

Here is my original source, and I altered it because my family is not a great fan of coriander seeds:

Have a great day and keep rocking!!
