If only – book review

I’ve finished reading this book about 2 weeks back but some really urgent things just demanded my attention. This is the first time I didn’t post for so long, if my memory serves me right.

The central plot of the book is how someone with a predefined mindset behaves, and why it can be some times so incorrect. This was beautifully portrayed by the character of Danny. Jessica and fly are two of the most common characters you’d expect to see in YA books – a girl who likes guy’s company and an irresponsible guy.

The entire story is narrated through the eyes of cara – fly’s girlfriend, but who secretly loves Danny. But, Danny has a girlfriend – Jessica. If this isn’t worse – both the guys are involved in a criminal case – killing their own college mate with a gun.

The book is a breeze. And to me – the content seemed way mature for YA. The author sure retained the youthful flavor but the issues she tries to address in the book are far from youthful. In fact, anybody could relate to an incident from their life’s where they behaved that way, only because they thought it should be that way, not because it should be that way.

I would rate it 3.5/5. If you get your hand on it, you’d finish it in 2 hours time. If you really want peppy stuff throughout the book, just stay away.

Have a good day, and keep rocking!!
