Outdoor run

Yesterday, the gym was closed when I went, so i chose to run outdoors instead. Currently at week 6 day 2, I was supposed to run for 20 minutes. But, a big letdown. I was barely able to run for 2-3 minutes. Had to stop continuously. Very disappointed. Going to gym as per schedule tomorrow. Treadmill is a bit less intimidating than outdoors. How am I going to do my 4K run on MAY 20????

  1. I read in Men’s Health that when running on a treadmill vs. outside, make sure you put the “elevation” of the treadmill on a 2 or 3. This will simulate running on pavement. Don’t be intimidated by running outside. I felt that way about running on a trail in the woods but then realized that I got to run by the lake and enjoy nature. You can do it! I signed up for a marathon in Nov. so I have lots of training to do.
